MW4 Season 1 Release Time in India (IST), Maps and DMZ X01

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 goes live at 0000 (midnight) Eastern Time on Friday, November 6, Activision confirmed on October 28. For players in India that works out to 10:30 AM IST on November 6. The season adds new maps, a new DMZ black site called X01, two Battle Pass weapons and full Warzone integration. Here is everything announced so far.

What time does MW4 Season 1 start in India?

Activision says Season 1 arrives at midnight ET on November 6, which is 9 PM PT on November 5. Eastern time will be on standard time by then, so the conversion to India is 10:30 AM IST on Friday, November 6. That is a morning start for Indian players, unlike recent seasons that went live at 9 AM PT. Expect servers to run a short update before the new content unlocks, and download the patch early where your platform allows it. What new multiplayer maps and modes come in Season 1?

Season 1 launches with three 6v6 medium-sized maps. Backstab is a brand-new snowy town with abandoned tanks and long sightlines. Canyon is a new sun-scorched map with towering rock walls, a river and a central mesa. Shoot House is a returning layout reimagined in light snowfall in North Korea. At mid-season, Ministry and Overflow arrive, along with more maps Activision has not named.

A featured Kill Block combo called Crash keeps all three slabs static instead of changing between rounds. It was built from popular Beta combinations and also appears in other Core playlists, including Search and Destroy.

Shipment, the fan-favourite small map, has already returned as a remaster since October 27, so it is the fastest place to level weapons before the season starts.

What is DMZ X01 in Season 1?

X01 is a new DMZ location on the edge of Hajin. Activision describes it as a former GRANIT Arms black site that North Korean forces have taken over, made up of cargo bays, vehicle depots, underground labs, a weapons assembly line and a sealed Deep Vault. It is a tight, multi-floor space of tunnels, so squad coordination and the right gear matter more than in open Hajin. Ghost guides players through new DMZ Orders, and the 100 Spirits NK faction may be active nearby.

New enemies, items and equipment are still marked as classified. Activision did confirm tougher Commanders on the Boss Board, including The Captain (a Juggernaut and his elite guard) and a patrolling Wheelson, plus Lieutenants Tae-Hyun ("Knuckle") and Chol-Min ("The Wrench"). Exfil will also get harder because the facility starts closing off extraction points.

Which new weapons arrive with Season 1?

Two guns come through the Battle Pass at launch. The Cronen Osprey is a 5.56 assault rifle at Battle Pass tier 16, with 30 rounds per magazine, a fire rate of 882 RPM and 70 levels of attachments. Activision says only the M4 matches its rate of fire. The CSG-35 is an SMG at tier 36 with 28 rounds and a 1,200 RPM fire rate, the highest in its class, though its recoil climbs at range.

Later in the season, event rewards add the full-auto JAK 12 shotgun and the ZLR Talonhawk combat axe. New Apex attachments include the Cronen Helix Mk. II and CSG Crossfire for the new guns, plus the Hyeon Auto and Kastov 545 as Wager Match Event rewards.

How much is the Season 1 Battle Pass?

The Season 1 Battle Pass is a 100-tier linear track priced at 1,100 COD Points. The bundle costs 2,400 COD Points. Activision is adding a catch-up system: if you buy the premium pass late, you are automatically caught up to the reward matching the current day of the season, up to day 50, so buyers are guaranteed 50+ rewards. Completing all 100 tiers unlocks the Bellum Ultra Mosin-Nagant blueprint at tier 100, plus the Vantage skin for Blix and the Blue Viper Hyeon Burst blueprint.

The BlackCell tier includes the XERO operator, an M4 signature blueprint, 1,100 COD Points and 20 tier skips. Vault Edition owners get BlackCell content automatically. Note that Weekly Challenges are not part of Season 1; Infinity Ward is focusing on Events instead.

What is happening with Warzone and Season 1 events?

Warzone becomes fully integrated with Modern Warfare 4 in Season 1. It gets the new Hajin and Zodiac maps alongside Verdansk and Rebirth Island. Activision will publish a separate Warzone post and roadmap on Monday, November 2, so wait for that before planning your Warzone grind. Season 1 events include the Wager Match Event, Weapon Camo Events and the Joint Fire squad-up event, with Threat Briefing and Resupply Run events in DMZ.

Is there an MW4 patch to download before Season 1?

Infinity Ward has been shipping fixes almost daily since launch on October 23. The October 28 update delivered the first weapon tuning pass and cut dive velocity by 23% as a short-term fix for a movement exploit. The October 29 update added the Possession mode, raised multiplayer XP rates and adjusted DMZ cash rewards. Expect a larger file for Season 1, and follow the official Trello board for live issues.
