Petit Planet Livestream Recap: Switch 2 in 2027, Code, Events

HoYoverse used its Petit Planet Pre-Launch Special Program on November 1, 2026 to confirm a Nintendo Switch 2 version for 2027, show more of the game's Neighbors and systems, and hand out a launch code. The cozy life sim itself still launches December 4, 2026.

Quick summary

• Launch: December 4, 2026 on PC (Epic Games Store and client), iOS and Android, with cross-platform support.
• Nintendo Switch 2: confirmed for 2027, no exact date yet; HoYoverse says it will share footage next year.
• Livestream code: PTPL1204 for Curio Sea Whistle x10, redeemable only after launch (per fan-site Animon Official).
• Pre-download starts December 1; the game is not on Steam yet.

What was announced about Petit Planet on Switch 2?

At the end of the stream, a short trailer confirmed the port. Polygon notes the footage looks on par with the PC build and supports both docked and handheld play. Pocket Tactics reports HoYoverse says the team is still working hard on it, so the first release stays limited to PC and mobile.

Which Neighbors and systems were shown?

Coverage of the stream highlights the first two Neighbors, Planet Coordinator Mobai and Starsea Racer Elsasani, along with core loops such as decorating, dressing up, fishing, gardening, cooking and helping residents. Polygon points out the game leans more on farming than Animal Crossing: New Horizons, closer to Stardew Valley. What pre-launch events and rewards are live?

• Pre-registration lucky draw on the official website.
• "Besties, Made to Match": pre-register with two friends and each gets an exclusive clothing item.
• "Launch a Planet" web event, live from November 1: draw your own planet and finish daily tasks for rewards.
• More than 1,000 clothing and furniture items can be earned for free through regular play.

Details of the sign-up milestones are in our pre-registration guide, and the full launch facts are in the release date article.

Should Switch 2 owners wait?

If you only own a Switch 2, you wait until 2027 with no date. If you have a PC or phone, the game is cross-platform from day one, so you can start on December 4 and carry progress across devices. Track other launches on our upcoming games calendar.
