Petit Planet Hexia vs Taffeh: Which Starting Galaxy to Pick

Petit Planet asks you to pick a home galaxy before anything else, and the choice is between Hexia and Taffeh. The short version: the core systems are the same, and the difference is mostly scenery, climate, early neighbors and which Starsea islets you see first.

The official-style galaxy descriptions on the community database sites and TechWiser's beginner guide agree on terrain and climate. Neighbor lists come from fan wikis and the closed beta, so they may shift at launch on December 4.

Which galaxy is better for beginners?

Neither. TechWiser's guide says plainly that neither choice is wrong and it comes down to the environment you want to look at daily. Gaming Nexus' preview also notes that planets differ in biome style and starting resources, but the pick is mostly about aesthetics.

Does the starting fruit matter?

Polygon's Gamescom preview said the most important factor it could see was the fruit choice, which feeds cooking, trading, gifting and eating early on. It described Hexia as a mild world with plums and Taffeh as a savanna world with mango trees. Treat that as a preview-build detail.

Can I visit the other galaxy later?

Yes. The wiki says players can unlock and explore the other starting zone by visiting a Starmigo who has settled in the other galaxy. Starsea Voyages need at least one Lumia Battery and let you bring up to two Neighbors.

Which should you pick?

Pick Hexia if you want green, spring-like cozy visuals. Pick Taffeh if you prefer golden sunsets and an open, summery mood. If you are undecided, Hexia is the common choice, but Taffeh is the more distinctive one.
