Sony Interactive Entertainment and French studio Oh BiBi have confirmed that Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble, the free-to-play mobile shooter, is ending development before it ever reached a worldwide release. The final update shipped on November 6, 2026, according to the announcement carried by GameSpot, Polygon and Push Square.

When does Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble shut down?

There are three dates to remember. The last content update landed on November 6. New players lose the ability to download the game on November 21, when it leaves both mobile stores. If you already have it installed you can keep playing until May 1, 2027, when the servers close for good. Account details, progress and unlocks are erased at that point, according to coverage that quotes the official FAQ.

What happens to purchases, passes and currency?

Oh BiBi has already removed in-app purchases. Content that used to cost money is now free or can be earned through normal play, and the Super Pass has been made free for everyone, per Push Square and other outlets summarising the FAQ. Qwark Pass seasons continue until the shutdown. Any leftover in-game currency should be spent before May 1, because it disappears with the servers. Players who pre-registered are due promotional items in the in-game message center after the final patch.

We have not seen a refund programme announced for past spending, so if you spent real money, check the store's own refund rules rather than assuming a payout.

What was Ranger Rumble?

It was a fast-paced multiplayer arena shooter for iOS and Android, built by Oh BiBi in collaboration with PlayStation Studios, with Insomniac Games involved in a supervisory role. It was announced in November 2025 and soft-launched first in the Philippines and Indonesia, then in countries including the UK, Canada, France and the Nordics. Pre-registration for a planned global launch opened in July 2026, which makes the cancellation less than four months later notably abrupt.

Why does this matter for PlayStation?

Sony has been leaning on live-service and mobile projects to widen its franchises, and this is another title that never reached full release. The statement did not say sales or player numbers drove the decision, so treat any explanation you read as speculation. Sony also said the shutdown does not affect other Ratchet & Clank games or PlayStation network services, as reported by Metro and others.

Can I still download it in India?

The game was never part of the official worldwide rollout, and the soft-launch list in the reports does not include India. With delisting on November 21 there is no sign it will arrive, so Indian players should not expect a launch. If you want Ratchet & Clank on a screen, the console and PC games remain the way to play.
