Shift Up has put Stellar Blade Complete Edition on Nintendo Switch 2, with launch coverage dated November 5 to 6 depending on your time zone. Reviews are broadly positive on the game and mixed on the port: Nintendo Life scored it 7/10 and flagged blurry visuals and frame-generation input lag. Here is what to know before you buy.

What is in Stellar Blade Complete Edition on Switch 2?

It is the full action-adventure game plus every collaboration pack released so far. Per Gamemeca, the Switch 2 version supports Joy-Con 2 motion controls, and on the same day PS5 and PC players received a free Bayonetta collaboration update with four outfits for Eve (the classic Bayonetta, Jeanne and nun costumes plus a Black Tresses skin). Some included content unlocks later in the story, according to Nintendo's listing.

How much does it cost and how big is the download?

US eShop price is $59.99, and Nintendo's listing gives a file size of 25.3 GB (Nintendo Everything's earlier list said 25.4 GB). Switch 2 has 256 GB of internal storage, so it takes roughly a tenth. Buy the cartridge and nothing needs downloading, which Shift Up stressed. A limited SteelBook edition was also sold through select retailers, and some buyers on Nintendo Life's review thread said retailers had cancelled orders because of oversold stock.

How does it run on Switch 2?

Nintendo Life reports 720p in handheld and 1080p docked. The 60 fps mode relies on frame generation, which Shift Up's tech chief said builds on a 30 fps base using AMD FSR 3.1 interpolation, so motion looks smoother but buttons do not respond faster. The reviewer found the lag noticeable in a game built around timing, and preferred the setting that disables frame generation, which felt closer to 40 fps and more responsive. RPG Site's comparison against PS5 Pro and Steam Deck concluded the Switch 2 version is its favourite portable one for HD rumble and image stability, but that it does not hold a locked 60 anywhere yet.
