Warzone Season 1 Maps: Hajin, Zodiac, Verdansk, Rebirth Island

Warzone is getting its biggest shake-up in a while. When Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 goes live on November 6, 2026, the free-to-play battle royale becomes fully integrated with MW4 and adds two new maps, Hajin and Zodiac, while Verdansk and Rebirth Island stay in the lineup. Activision has promised a separate Warzone roadmap post on November 2, so some playlist details are still to come.

What time does Warzone Season 1 start in India?

Activision lists the launch as midnight Eastern on November 6 (9 PM Pacific on November 5), at one moment on every platform. Converted for India, that is 10:30 AM IST on Friday, November 6. Because the season is shared, Multiplayer, DMZ and Warzone content all arrive together.

Which maps are in Warzone Season 1?

The Battle Royale and Resurgence split above comes from BestLoadout's reading of the announcement and Pocket Tactics, which both report Zodiac is placed on the Resurgence playlist rather than the main one. Activision has not yet published the full playlist structure.

What is Hajin?

Hajin is already familiar to MW4 players: it is the setting of the campaign and the starting point for DMZ. Warzone players will get it as a large-scale battleground, with objectives and combat designed for battle royale rather than DMZ's extraction rules. The full layout has not been detailed yet.

What is Zodiac in Resurgence?

Zodiac appeared in the MW4 open beta in August. BestLoadout describes it as a weapons manufacturing complex in South Korea with ten points of interest, including Old Mine, Solar and Trackline, plus a moving train and varied elevation. Because it is a smaller location, it is being used for the faster Resurgence mode. Beta patch notes mentioned visibility tweaks such as reduced bloom and clearer character outlines, so expect a tuned version.

Are Verdansk and Rebirth Island staying?

Yes. Activision's announcement confirms both return alongside the new maps, so you do not have to give up familiar ground to try Hajin or Zodiac. What is not confirmed is how playlists will rotate, or whether all four will always be selectable.

What about Avalon and Black Ops Royale?

The announcement does not say Avalon or Black Ops Royale are being removed, and it does not say they are staying. The same goes for other Resurgence locations. Treat any removal claims as unconfirmed until the November 2 roadmap or in-game news clarifies it.

Verdict

Four confirmed maps across two modes is a strong start, and keeping Verdansk and Rebirth Island softens the change. The open questions are playlist structure, squad sizes and older maps, which the roadmap post should answer. We will update when it is out.
