What is the Xbox Series X25 release date and price?

The release date is 13 November 2026. Pre-orders opened on 26 August for fans invited by email and to everyone in select markets on 27 August. The US price is $899.99 and the UK price is £759.99, according to Cloudy with Games' price round-up, and the Microsoft Store page shows the same "starting from $899.99" figure and the 13 November date. Microsoft's own store listing marks it as out of stock.

What is included in the box?

An Xbox Series X25 console with a 1TB custom SSD in translucent OG Green
The Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition
A full-game download of Halo: Campaign Evolved, delivered to the console during setup and tied to the first Microsoft account that claims it, per Cloudy with Games

Microsoft's design notes say the iconic "X" lights up green at power-on, the back case and battery door are fully transparent, and each console carries its own engraved number, so no two units match.

Is the X25 faster than a normal Xbox Series X?

Xbox Series X25	Standard Xbox Series X
Shell	Translucent OG Green, numbered	Black
Storage	1TB SSD	1TB SSD (current base model)
Controller	X25 Special Edition	Standard
Bundled game	Halo: Campaign Evolved download	None
Performance	Same as Series X	Baseline

No. Coverage of the launch makes clear there are no performance upgrades over the standard Series X. You are paying for the design, the numbering and the bundled game. Our verdict: buy it if you collect consoles or love the 2001 original, and skip it if you just want to play games, since a regular Series X plays everything identically for far less.

Can you buy the X25 controller on its own?

Yes. The Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition went on sale on 20 October 2026 at $79.99 or £74.99. It copies the original Xbox look with a green Xbox button, ABXY buttons in the 2001 colours, black triggers, a white bumper and the first translucent battery door. It is also listed as out of stock in the US and UK at the time of the Cloudy with Games check.

Will the Xbox Series X25 launch in India?

None of the sources we checked list India among the launch markets, and no rupee price has been announced. Microsoft says only that it is sold in "select markets". If you are in India, expect to rely on imports or resellers, which usually adds import duty and a markup. Check our deals page and the launch calendar for any official regional news.
