Forza Horizon 6 PC Requirements: GTX 1650 and 167 GB

Forza Horizon 6 is out on PC, and its official requirements are friendlier than most open-world racers: a GTX 1650 and 16 GB of RAM get you 1080p at 60 FPS on Low. The catch is a huge 167 GB install and no support for older GTX 10 cards.

• Minimum: Core i5-8400 or Ryzen 5 1600, 16 GB RAM, GTX 1650 / RX 6500 XT / Arc A380, 1080p 60 FPS Low.
• Recommended: Core i5-12400F or Ryzen 5 5600X, RTX 3060 Ti / RX 6700 XT / Arc A580, 1440p 60 FPS High.
• Storage: 167 GB on an SSD; NVMe for the top tiers.
• Not supported: GTX 1060/1070/1080 and RX 400/500 cards.

What are the Forza Horizon 6 PC system requirements?

All tiers need Windows 10 22H2 or newer and DirectX 12, plus an internet connection. Steam Deck is listed as supported; desktop Linux is not.

Can I run Forza Horizon 6 on a GTX 1060 or GTX 1080?

Officially, no. Playground Games supports NVIDIA cards from the Turing generation (GTX 16 and RTX 20) onward, so the GTX 1650 works but Pascal cards such as the GTX 1070 and GTX 1080 are not guaranteed, even though they can be faster on paper. On AMD, Polaris and Vega cards like the RX 580 are not supported. If you own one, the game may fail to start or crash.

How much RAM and storage do you need?

Even the minimum tier asks for 16 GB of RAM, so an 8 GB laptop is below spec. The Extreme tier asks for 24 GB and Extreme RT for 32 GB. The 167 GB install is among the largest this year, so check free space before you start the download. Does Forza Horizon 6 support ray tracing, DLSS and FSR?

Yes. The Extreme RT tier adds ray-traced reflections and global illumination. Per the Forza support page, NVIDIA owners get DLSS Super Resolution on all RTX cards, Frame Generation on RTX 40 and Multi Frame Generation on RTX 50. AMD cards use FSR 4 or FSR 3 depending on the model, and Intel uses XeSS 2.1. The game also supports ultrawide, HDR, uncapped frame rates and a built-in benchmark.

Where do I buy it and what does it cost?

It launched on May 19, 2026, with early access from May 15 for the Premium Edition. On Steam it costs $69.99 Standard, $99.99 Deluxe and $119.99 Premium, and it is also on PC Game Pass through the Xbox app. An Xbox account is required, which you can link to Steam. Verdict: will your PC handle it?
