Steam Deck Store Page Missing: What We Know So Far

The Steam Deck's store page has vanished from Steam. On November 3, 2026, PC Guide reported that opening the handheld's store address (store.steampowered.com/steamdeck) simply sends you to the Steam homepage. Valve has not said why, and it has not announced that the device is being discontinued.
Quick summary
- The Steam Deck page redirects to Steam's homepage, at least in the US, UK and Europe, according to PC Guide.
- The Wayback Machine's last saved copy of the page is dated October 30.
- Valve's other hardware (Steam Controller, Steam Machine and Steam Frame) is still listed.
- Valve has made no official statement. A redirect alone does not prove the Deck is discontinued.
Has Valve discontinued the Steam Deck?
Not as far as anyone can confirm. PC Guide points out that Valve has announced no end-of-life plan for the remaining OLED models, and that a Steam Deck 2 appears to be at least a year away. MIXED, which also checked the page, noted that the Deck still appears in Valve's hardware listings but its buy link did not open a product page, and stressed that the redirect "does not establish" discontinuation. Treat any claim of an official end of sales as unverified until Valve speaks.
What is already known about the Steam Deck's supply?
This is not the first sign of trouble. Valve already stopped making the cheaper 256GB LCD model, with the Steam Deck page stating that once it sold out it would not return. Valve has also warned on the store that the OLED could be out of stock intermittently because of memory and storage shortages, the same RAM crunch that has been pushing up prices across PC hardware. The 2026 chip shortage is a big part of why prices have risen; see our look at what the PC market slump means for gamers.
How much does a Steam Deck cost now?
According to PC Guide, after the shortage-driven price hikes earlier this year the OLED models cost $789 for 512GB and $949 for 1TB. That is up 43.7% and 46.2% from their original launch prices. PC Guide also cites estimates that sales fell by more than 75% once Valve restocked at the new prices, although the Deck has stayed among Steam's top sellers and newer Valve hardware has overtaken it in many regions.
| Model | Status (per reports) | US price |
|---|---|---|
| Steam Deck LCD 256GB | No longer produced | n/a |
| Steam Deck OLED 512GB | Store page redirects | $789 |
| Steam Deck OLED 1TB | Store page redirects | $949 |
Can you still buy a Steam Deck in Asia?
PC Guide says Valve's Asian hardware partner, Komodo Station, which serves Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan and Taiwan, still had listings. In Japan the 512GB OLED was in stock at 137,980 yen and the 1TB at 167,980 yen. Indian buyers have no official Valve store, so most import or use third-party sellers; be careful about prices and warranty.
What should Steam Deck owners and buyers do?
- Owners: nothing changes. Existing Decks keep working, and Valve has previously said it will support the OLED long term.
- Buyers: wait for Valve's word before paying a reseller markup. If you only want a handheld PC, compare it with other models in our deals page and wait for Black Friday pricing.
- Check Valve's official Steam Deck page again over the next few days; it may simply be a store change or a glitch.
What does this mean for Steam Deck 2?
Nothing is confirmed. Reports earlier this year suggested a successor is not close, and Valve said its plans for it were unchanged despite the RAM crisis. Check our upcoming launches calendar for confirmed hardware dates.
